Simplicity is a good word to define her. She believes that life is to be lived with the utmost authenticity, she believes that we get further when we co-operate and look after each other. It's important in the sense that we are all important and that expanded vision makes all the difference. It is by example that we help the world become a better place, and to set an example you need to be very resilient, demanding, focussed, interested, curious, flexible and authentic. Life has shown you that in the end the most important thing is love and that's why you always try to put love into everything you do. He has a great sense of responsibility towards the planet, towards human, animal and plant life, and lighting is one of his great passions because it has a profound impact on everyone's life. He believes that designing artificial lighting requires a lot of care and goes far beyond design, architecture and art; it blends with humanity, cognition, science and faith.

In Portugal, lighting is an area where there still isn't much information, where people in general still don't realise how important it is to live in spaces where there is careful and properly prepared lighting. She has tried to raise awareness through monitoring and demonstration. She believes that it's really important for the future not only of society but also of the planet to integrate the awareness-raising part into this area - it's no longer enough just to buy, you have to know what you're buying and buy the right thing. Otherwise, we're contributing to a more polluted planet and less healthy people. For her, ‘as long as your voice isn't audible, your talents won't be visible’.
